Why Attend a Course?

Child Development and Educational Challenges

Teachers and parents are usually the first people to recognise when a child has a problem. In many cases they do not know what the problem is. They may feel that the child is a little different to other children. Unless the symptoms are severe the difficulties are often overlooked and parents are frequently told that they will ‘grow out of it’.

There are many individual variations in recognised stages of development and many children who displayed subtle problems in early life have grown out of them by the age of seven or eight. However, in every classroom there exists a small group of children who to all outward appearances are ‘normal’ but who are immature in some areas of their development.

If these immaturities persist the children are at risk of experiencing a range of learning and behavioural difficulties in school and in other aspects of their lives.

Research has shown that a Specific Movement Programme may help children overcome:
  • Reading and Writing Difficulties
  • Balance & Co-ordination Problems
  • Delayed Speech and/or Language Disorders
  • Immature Behaviour
  • Emotional hypersensitivity
